OUR FARM

This land was passed down to us.

Sixty-five acres in South Haven, Minnesota — a carefully chosen herd of cattle, birds out on grass, and most of it sold face to face to people we'll see again next Saturday or at the store.

Most meat takes a long, anonymous road to a plate and you have no idea where its been or whats happened to it. We wanted the short journey to your plate — where the person who raised the animal is the person you hand your money to, and a hard question gets a straight answer instead of a label.

That decides everything else here. Cattle stay on grass and get moved to new ground, which is better for them and quietly rebuilds our soil. Birds live outside. Nothing gets growth hormones or routine antibiotics. The herd is carefully chosen — what finishes this year on the farm isn't here just for finishing.

Good food grown close to home shouldn't be a luxury. That's the whole reason this farm exists. We eat what we sell and give it to our children.

We're the second generation to run this place. We didn't buy our way into farming — the land came to us, and with it the work. We'd rather keep it a working farm than watch it become anything else, and the way we do that is by feeding people who care where their food came from.

We work closely with our local processor so every animal is handled humanely and with respect from its first day to its last. That part matters to us more than anything printed on a label.
