What we have
Reserve with a deposit and we'll confirm your pickup window by email. You pay the final amount — based on actual weight — when you take it home. Pickup on-farm in South Haven, MN, or at the Annandale Farmers Market. Minnesota only — we do not ship.
Why is the price a range?
Because no two animals weigh the same. You reserve first and pay the real number at pickup. We'd rather quote you a range than pretend we know.
How much freezer space do I need?
A mini quarter (55–85 lbs) fits in most chest freezers with room to spare — this is exactly why we raise miniatures. A half needs about double.
What is hanging weight?
It's the carcass weight before it's cut into steaks and roasts. Ours is $6.25/lb hanging weight, paid to the farm. What lands in your freezer is less than that number, which is why we give you the finished-pounds range too.
What does processing cost?
$100–300+, depending on share size and how you choose your cuts. It's paid straight to the processor when you pick up, not to us.
Can I split a share with someone?
All the time. Reserve a half and split it — just decide up front who takes the processor's call, because they need one set of answers.
Where do I pick up?
Shares are picked up at our local processor — we will tell you when your beef is ready and exactly where to go. Chicken and eggs come from the farm in South Haven or the market stand.
